I sit in the corner of Starbucks,
sip my tea,
scalding,
though I hardly notice
I'm lost in thoughts of you
I lose myself in your eyes,
feel the comfort of your arms around me,
hear your laugh in my ear,
My neck tingles as I remember your breath on it
Your stubble on my shoulder
Your fingers in mine
I drum them against the side of the cup,
knowing
that as you walk across the cafe,
grinning as you see me,
that we'll never be more than this
