KONY 2012- Why I care and why I'm frustrated

I have known for a long time about the terrible things Joseph Kony has being doing and is doing, as well as many other horrible people in this world, and I done my best to get involved, spread awareness and do my part to stop all these terrible things that go on in our world.

I also know that invisible children does not send all their money directly to relief efforts in Africa. I did my research before I threw my money at them.

But this afternoon, I am very frustrated, particularly with this organization. I ordered an action pack over a month ago, and have gotten beyond sick of waiting for something I spent $40 on. I understand demand is overwhelming, fine. But then I went to cancel my order because I need the money for things like housing here on campus, and I feel that the word has sufficiently "gotten out" here. I cancelled my order a week ago through the website. Two days ago I received an email telling me that my address did not exist. I tried to email them through several accounts, that I was promptly told by my computer did not exist. I have called their offices several times to get a machine and when I put in my extension to half two and a half minutes of silence.

I truly understand how overwhelmed they must be and how busy they are, but you have to handle your business, which is your customers. I want help, especially when I'm working with a professional organization that I have given my money to on multiple occasions. Now, I have little faith left in this organization and I am not likely to support their efforts in the future, but to work with other groups.
